THIS WEEK:  School Counselors’ Appreciation Week….Thank you Ms. Fritz

Congratulations to Mrs. Fallon Woods  CEO (Superintendent/Elem Principal) for Scotland School District 4-3 beginning July 1, 2021

Tuesday:  GOOD Luck to our GBB teams as they host Freeman here 6:30pm also Military Appreciation Night; The Senior girls out for athletics (cheerleading, volleyball, cross country, basketball, track, golf) this school year will be receiving a certificate at tonight's girls basketball game in recognition of National Girls & Women in Sports Day which will be tomorrow.  Junior class concession workers: Kalen, Dawson & Lucas.  GOOD Luck to our matmen as they travel to Burke 6:30pm Please dismiss Jordan Gall, Turner Nicholson, and Tyrus Bietz at 2:40 to leave for Tyndall and then Burke for tonight's wrestling dual.

Thursday: “ USO Day, World Cancer Day, National Homemade Soup Day”; GBB @ Platte 6:30pm; BBB here w/Ethan 6:30pm; MS BB w/Bon Homme here 4pm

  • FFA carnation sales February 1-10th…. During lunch periods
  • Just in case you missed it… Punxsutawney Phil predicts winter will hang on
  • The following people have overdue books in the library today/Tues.  Please take care of this ASAP:  Parker Hochstein.
  • CDEs and Sign Ups: Sign us are being posted in the ag room on the bulletin board as details come in. Make sure you sign up.  Contests will be as follows McCook CDE on March 8th, District 4 CDE in Bon Homme on March 17th, and Tri-Valley CDE on March 29th.
  • Scotland VFW Auxiliary Youth Programs: Continuing Education Scholarship-----deadline February 15th, 2021. “Get Excited About the Red, White, and Blue” Contest deadline is March 31, 2021----Youth ages 6 to 16 qualify. Young American Patriotic Creative Art Scholarship Contest----deadline March 31, 2021----Grades 9-12/Home-Schooled students are eligible. Illustrating America----Deadline March 31, 2021-----------------An art contest for students in grades 1-8. Youth Groups Supporting Our Veterans----deadline April 1, 2021.  For more information check out the bulletin board by the lunch office.
  • Orders for the state wrestling tournament (February 25, 26, 27) at the Rapid City Civic Center can be made with Jim Kocer by this Friday at noon.  Adult reserved seats for all three days would be $50.00 and for advanced student seating the cost is $28.00.  Tickets can also be purchased at the door (adults-$14.00 per session and students-$8.00 per session).
  • Pop Tabs: It is a competition to see who can collect the most pop tabs between October 5th, 2020 and March 1st, 2021. The winning group (either the elementary, middle school, or high school) will be announced after FFA Week. High schoolers please bring tabs to Ms. Kaufmann’s room. Middle schoolers please take the tabs to Mrs. Haase’s room. Elementary to Patty’s office.
