Tuesday: FFA officer lunch today; Good Luck to our MS boys’ basketball team as they travel to Dakota Christian, 4:00. Please dismiss them at 2:35pm; Girls Basketball at Canistota POSTPONED TO February 18th, JV-6:15,; Scholastic Book Fair begins; Elementary Puffin fund raiser begins; FFA members going to the Mogck Bull Sale by the end of the day today.
Thursday: Mogck Bull Sale: FFA members who signed up to go to the Mogck Bull Sale on Thursday, February 18th.
Friday: FFA Week Committee: This committee will have a working lunch on Friday, February 19th.; BBB @Menno C game 5pm, JV 6:15pm then Varsity
Saturday: BBB Great Plains @Mt. Marty; Region WR at Wagner 10am
- BBB game with Platte-Geddes here has been POSTPONED to a later date.
- Congratulations to the Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon wrestling team for winning the Huron Tournament on Saturday. Jordan Gall won the 195-pound division, Turner Nicholson was second at 182, and Tyrus Bietz was second at 160. They will be wrestling in the Region 3B Tournament this Saturday at Wagner starting at 10:00.
- National FFA Week: The National FFA Week will be from Monday, February 22nd through Friday, February 26th. Monday: Dress Like an Animal, COOP Speaker in the Ag room at 8:30am, Tuesday: Tired Tuesday (PJs), Wednesday: Blue and Gold/FFA Shirt Day, Drive Your Tractor to School, Farm Olympics at 2pm, Thursday: John Deere vs Case
- CDEs and Sign Ups: Sign us are being posted in the ag room on the bulletin board as details come in. Make sure you sign up. Contests will be as follows McCook CDE on March 8th, Brule County Livestock CDE on March 17th, Howard CDE on March 15th, District 4 CDE in Bon Homme on March 17th, and Tri-Valley CDE on March 29th.
- Taylor Freier an 8th grader at Menno, placed 2nd at the South Dakota State Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Patriotic Pen Contest.
- This Ends March 1st….Pop Tabs: It is a competition to see who can collect the most pop tabs between October 5th, 2020 and March 1st, 2021. The winning group (either the elementary, middle school, or high school) will be announced after FFA Week. High schoolers please bring tabs to Ms. Kaufmann’s room. Middle schoolers please take the tabs to Mrs. Haase’s room. Elementary to Patty’s office.
