This Week:

Thursday: Mrs. Haase’s 7th period study hall will report to the library today; Elementary & Middle School Play leave 1pm seated by 1:15pm; Evening performance of the Play 7:30pm

Friday: Smarter Balance testing w/8th graders

Saturday: Drivers’ Ed --9:00-12:00

Sunday: School Play practice at 10:30am at City Hall; School Play at 2pm

NEXT WEEK:

Monday: CDE @Tri Valley leave at 8:30am; TR @Centerville leave at 10am

Tuesday: ACT testing morning at Scotland; HS Pizza Bowl

Wednesday: Smarter Balance w/6th graders

Thursday April 1st: Smarter Balance w/8th graders; Early Dismissal 1:30pm

Friday: NO SCHOOL….Good Friday

Monday April 5th: NO SCHOOL

Tuesday: Smarter Balance w/juniors; Early Dismissal 1:30pm; Scotland HS TR 2/3:30pm

  • Attention driver education students:  Have the worksheets for Chapter 13 and 14 done for Saturday's class, 9:00 a.m. start.  Remember the highway patrol will speak that morning.

  • Congratulations to Keenan Souhrada and Stephen Johnson on being selected BBB All Conference.  Keenan was selected in the Great Plains (honorable mention LMVC) and Stephen in the LMVC (honorable mention in GPC).
  • The following people have books that are due in the library today/Thurs. Please take care of this ASAP:  Thomas Franks, Treytan Bult, Eli Soukup, Charlotte Mares, Madeline Richmond, Rylee Conrad, Turner Nicholson(2), and Kennedy Bietz.
  • The Student Council is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, April 21 form 12:30pm to 5:30pm in the Community Room.  To donate, students must be at least 16 years of age and weigh at least 120 pounds.  If you are 16 or 17 and this is your first time donating, please see Mrs. Fryda for a parent permission form.  To register, please logon to www.lifeservebloodcenter.org or contact Mrs. Fryda.  A signup sheet will also be posted outside of Mrs. Huber’s office.  The Student Council thanks you for giving the gift of life.
  • FFA Officer applications available.  These applications are due back on April 7th.  CDEs Information: March 29th at Tri-Valley hosted at EXPO center—make up slips due this Thursday; State FFA Convention: Congratulations to the teams who qualified for State FFA! Convention will be held on April 11-13th. A preliminary leave time on April 11th is at 10:15am. Scotland and Bon Homme FFA Chapters will be sharing a charter bus. More details will be sent home with students by the end of the week, including any forms that need to be signed.
  • The Hutchinson Conservation District is looking for summer employees to help with planting trees, laying fabric, and other odd jobs in Hutchinson County. Must be 16 years of age or older. Contact hutchcd@gwtc.net for more information.
