NEXT Week: Work Week April 19th - 23rd is the South Dakota Week of Work for grades 6-12. Students can attend webinars, watch videos, and connect with professionals from every career field. Access the materials at weekofwork.sd.gov, or visit with Miss Fritz for more info. ***NO HATS!***

Tuesday: Dress Like Your Folks Day – dress as a parent or family member’s job; IMPACT Testing at 7:30am w/NEXT year’s 7th graders; HS TR at Tyndall leave at 12:30, JV/MS Golf Scotland & Avon
Wednesday: College Spirit Day – wear your favorite college gear/colors; ; IMPACT Testing at 7:30am w/NEXT year’s 9th graders; Student Council Blood Drive noon-5:30; Softball meeting in community room at 7:30pm
Thursday: Professional Day – dress as a career you’re interested in; ; IMPACT Testing at 7:30am w/NEXT year’s 11th graders; Earth Day

- The following people have books that are overdue in the library today/Thurs;. Please take care of this ASAP: Eli Soukup, Tea Atkinson, Rylee Conrad, Allisyn Baker,and Kennedy Bietz.
- Students who will be in grades 7, 9, and 11 next school year (2021-2022) and new students to the district who plan on going out for athletics must go through the ImPact testing. This is a baseline test which is used concerning concussion testing. This test (done in the computer lab near the library). Erin Odens, physical therapist at Landmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital, will be conducting the test. Parent permission slips will be given to the students and must be brought to the school on the testing date. It is very important that you show up on these dates.
- Any FFA member who has CDE study or practice materials, please return them to Ms. Kaufmann by April 23rd.
- Scotland Youth Center is looking for high school students (16 years or older) to work at the Youth Center next school year. This is a paid position. Contact Kim Abbink at the Youth Center if you are interested.
- It is time to take out petitions for the 2021-2022 Student Council offices. Petitions for President and Vice President can be taken out by any junior. Petitions for Secretary and Treasurer can be taken out by any student in grades 9-11. Petitions may only be signed by students in grades 8-11 and each student can only sign one petition for each office. Petitions must be signed by 14 students. Petitions can be picked up from Mrs. Fryda and petitions are due to Mrs. Fryda by 3:00pm on Friday, April 23. Elections for officers will be held during first period on Thursday, April 29, during class meetings.
- Donations NEEDED---The Student Council is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, April 21 form 12:30pm to 5:30pm in the Community Room.
- Chapter Meeting: The next FFA chapter meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 20th at 7:15am.
- The Hutchinson Conservation District is looking for summer employees to help with planting trees, laying fabric, and other odd jobs in Hutchinson County. Must be 16 years of age or older. Contact hutchcd@gwtc.net for more information.
