This Week: Work Week 

 Monday: When I Grow Up Day – dress as your first childhood job idea; MS TR at Wagner CANCELLED

Tuesday: Dress Like Your Folks Day – dress as a parent or family member’s job; IMPACT Testing at 7:30am w/NEXT year’s 7th graders; Chapter Meeting: The next FFA chapter 7:15am; Juniors testing this morning;  HS TR at Tyndall leave at 12:30; JV/MS Golf Scotland & Avon—POSTPONED to April 22nd

Wednesday: College Spirit Day – wear your favorite college gear/colors; IMPACT Testing at 7:30am w/NEXT year’s 9th graders; Student Council Blood Drive noon-5:30; Donations NEEDED --Student Council Blood Drive in the community room from 12:30-5:30pm; Softball meeting in community room at 7:30pm

Thursday: Professional Day – dress as a career you’re interested in; IMPACT Testing at 7:30am w/NEXT year’s 11th graders; Earth Day; JV/MS Golf Scotland & Avon 10am

Friday: “Dream” Job Day – pajama day; HS Golf Burke/Gregory; CDE materials returned to Ms. Kaufman by end of the day today.

  • All Student Council members need to see Mrs. Fryda sometime after 3rd period today.
  • The Student Council/Scotland Rotary Club ditch cleanup will be on Thursday during 7th and 8th periods. 
  • The following people have books that are overdue in the library today/Mon.  Please take care of this today:  Jacob Schaeffer, Allisyn Baker, Kennedy Bietz and Zoe Steinberg.
  • Students who will be in grades 7, 9, and 11 next school year (2021-2022) and new students to the district who plan on going out for athletics must go through the ImPact testing.  This is a baseline test which is used concerning concussion testing.  This test (done in the computer lab near the library).   Erin Odens, physical therapist at Landmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital, will be conducting the test.  Parent permission slips will be given to the students and must be brought to the school on the testing date.  It is very important that you show up on these dates.
  • Any FFA member who has CDE study or practice materials, please return them to Ms. Kaufmann by April 23rd.
  • It is time to take out petitions for the 2021-2022 Student Council offices.  Petitions can be picked up from Mrs. Fryda and petitions are due to Mrs. Fryda by 3:00pm on Friday, April 23.  Elections for officers will be held during first period on Thursday, April 29, during class meetings.
  • EMPLOYMENT opportunities: The Hutchinson Conservation District is looking for summer employees to help with planting trees, laying fabric, and other odd jobs in Hutchinson County. Must be 16 years of age or older. Contact hutchcd@gwtc.net for more information.
  • Scotland Youth Center is looking for high school students (16 years or older) to work at the Youth Center next school year.  This is a paid position.  Contact Kim Abbink at the Youth Center if you are interested.
