Highlander Happenings … Mar.1.2022

Congratulations to Britney Rueb who won the state wrestling championship at 113 pounds and to Turner Nicholson who placed seventh at 160 pounds.  Britney was 30-1 on the year and Turner finished at 36-13. Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon finished in tenth place and in the state duals on Saturday they placed sixth.  Tyrus Bietz also wrestled in the duals.

Any students grades 9-12, there will be a short Track meeting TODAY after school in the Lunch Room.  We will have sign-up and some information to pass along.

STUDENTS: Girls State will be held May 30 – June 4 on the USD Campus (Vermillion). Boys State will be held on the NSU Campus (Aberdeen) May 30 – June 3. Today we will be having our first Hope Squad meeting for the High School in the FACS classroom. This will be the normal time and location for meetings (Tuesdays). As discussed earlier, please dismiss the members a few minutes early to lunch so they can get their food in a timely manner; they will also typically be back to 5^th period a few minutes late. Thank you for your flexibility with this, as a regular before or after school meeting was not possible with the students' schedules. I will make an announcement to students shortly.
