State FFA Convention
Everyone that is going has stopped and talked to Ms. Kaufmann already to confirm their attendance and requirements. State FFA Convention is on Sunday, April 24th through Tuesday, April 26th. Students will be wearing Official Dress all three days. They need black closed toed shoes, black pants/skirt, white button up shirt, tie/scarf, and FFA Jacket. No hats are to be worn with Official Dress, so if it is a temptation to wear it, please leave it home.
Students need to be in the shop/ag room with everything they are taking on the trip (bags, blankets/pillows, snacks) by 11:30 am. This will allow bag checks and final preparations/packing of FFA items before loading the bus. It is also a double check to make sure you have all of the Official Dress that is necessary.
Our chapter has a lot to be proud of going into this State FFA Convention…we have three students receiving their State FFA Degree, our chapter is a finalist in the Building Communities area for the National Chapter Award, and many teams and individuals are rockin their CDE contests. All of us will be representing Scotland School and FFA. You never know who is watching us at State FFA Convention. It could be someone who sponsors the entire event to make it affordable for us to attend or a parent from another school. Please be respectful and represent Scotland well.
A more detailed itinerary will be sent out next week with a packing list.
Scotland FFA Banquet
The Scotland FFA Banquet will be held on Monday, May 2nd with the meal starting at 6pm. FFA members are required to be there and in their official dress at 5:45pm. We invite families, friends, and community members to this event. To help us plan for meal numbers, please complete the very brief survey at https://forms.gle/G6iRdNC5owpbVmxL9 by April 22nd.
