Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Congratulations to Campbell, Jacob, Carson, and Paisley for participating in the Southeast Regional Spelling Bee in Vermillion, SD, on February 11. Campbell placed 3^rd in the oral spelling bee and will compete in the Scripps Spelling Bee (state competition) on March 18. Good luck to her! Jacob placed 3^rd in the written spelling bee. Congratulations! Overall, these four spellers represented Scotland Middle School very well!!

Congratulations to Britney…She finished the regular season with a 36-2 record.

SEA (Scotland Education Association) Scholarship, Interested applicants should stop by Mrs. Haase’s room to pick up an application. This $250 scholarship will be given to a senior student interested in going into the education field. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.  The applicant needs to write an essay of 400-500 words including why he/she chose education as his/her career path and what part of education (teaching area) interests him/her. Qualified applicants will also include any educational experience that they have been involved in (examples: mentoring, tutoring, etc.). Deadline is Friday, April 14^th.
