Tuesday: USD Dental Clinic—forms available in Sandy’s office; There will be a track sign up meeting in the lunchroom at 3:10 tomorrow (Tuesday). Any student in grades 7-12 who wants to go out for high school track please be there; BBB Region Q-Finals 7pm at Viborg

- THANK You to our winter sports athletes!! Thank you for all your hard work during the 2020-21 season. The memories are stored away for another day. Each of you make me (us) proud to be a mighty Highlander!
- Congratulations to the Elementary students for winning the Pop Tab WarsJ Way to go…
- There will be a BBB meeting Friday March 5th after school in Coach Fuks’ room. We will be turning in all equipment and voting on end of the year awards.
- The following people have books that are due in the library today/Tues. Please take care of this ASAP: Jennifer Stark, Allisyn Baker and Makayla Friederich.
- There is a prom signup sheet in Mr. Hunhoff’s room
- Leah Robb will be teaching kickboxing this month for all high school students & staff interested. Class times will be scheduled before school, right after school & during the weekends. Everyone is welcome to join but to know exact class times contact Leah Robb @ 605-201-9512.
- 2020 yearbooks are in. They are $30. Please see Mrs. Walloch to purchase one.
- CDEs and Sign Ups: Sign us are being posted in the ag room on the bulletin board as details come in. Make sure you sign up. Contests will be as follows McCook CDE on March 8th makeup slips due Thursday March 4th. Will be leaving at 8:15am, Brule County Livestock CDE on March 17th makeup slips due Friday March 5th. Will be leaving at 7am, Howard CDE on March 15th makeup slips due Thursday March 11th. Will leave at 8am, District 4 CDE in Bon Homme on March 17th, and Tri-Valley CDE on March 29th signup due Wednesday March 3rd.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jordan Gall … 2nd Place at State B WR … 195 lb…
Congratulations to Jordan Gall on his runner-up finish in the 195-pound weight class at the state wrestling tournament. Jordan had 3 pins before losing to number-one rated Cody Donnelly of Philip in the finals. Jordan was 36-3 for the year. All five of the Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon wrestlers placed: Brady Bierema-126 placed third, Isaac Crownover-152 finished fifth, and Britney Rueb and Peyton Hellmann both were state champions in the first girls state tournament.
REMINDER: USD Dental Hygiene Clinic is HERE today and tomorrow!!

The winning group (either the elementary, middle school, or high school) will be announced after FFA Week. High schoolers please bring tabs to Ms. Kaufmann’s room. Middle schoolers please take the tabs to Mrs. Haase’s room. Elementary to Patty’s office. ELEMENTARY: Now is the time to show the MS.HS students how much YOU really want that extra recess!!!

- Kiss a Pig – to end the pop tab drive, there is a bit of an incentive. Each teacher will have their name on a jar either in Mrs. Haase’s (MS) or Mrs. Walloch’s (HS). Students then can bring in pop tabs to vote for who will have to kiss the pig. The pig will not be real, so it will either be the model pig from the ag room or a stuffed animal. Jars will be taken and counted at the end of the day on Tuesday to figure out who will kiss the pig during farm Olympics.

Tuesday: “: Tired Tuesday (PJs)”; Pep Rally 3pm dismiss the band at 2:50pm…GBB Regions and Jordan Gall going to State WR tournament; GOOD Luck to the Lady Highlanders tonight as they host the Alcester-Hudson Lady Cubs here at 7pm;
Wednesday: “Blue and Gold/FFA Shirt Day”, FFA officer lunch, Drive Your Tractor to School, Farm Olympics at 2pm;
Thursday: FFA Day “John Deere vs Case”; 2:30 Dismissal; Parent/Teacher Conferences 3-9pm will be held in the main gym with masks required when parents are at the tables w/teachers; Scholastic Book Fair ends; GBB Region Semi Finals at Irene 5:30pm & 7pm;
Friday: NO SCHOOL; State Wrestling @Rapid City

- Each day there will also be a picture of “Flat Harold” around school for MS or HS students to find. Harold is a stuffed animal the FFA Officers have “adopted” and cared for since this summer. The first student to find it is to take a picture with it where they found it and bring it to the Ag Room for a prize.
