Highlander Happenings … Jan.18.2022
Pictures TOMORROW: Wed.Jan.19 for FFA, V & JV GBBall and MS BBBall starting with FFA at 2:45ish. Forms are available in Sandy’s office or on line.
FFA Member Lock-In: January 28 and 29 at SHS. All FFA members are welcome to attend as there will be food, games/activities, and fun for all. Please sign up in the ag room to ensure there will be plenty of food for everyone.
Orders for the state wrestling tournament (February 24, 25, 67) at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls can be made with Jim Kocer by Thursday, January 20, at noon. Adult reserved seats for all three days would be $50.00 and for advanced student seating the cost is $28.00. Tickets can also be purchased at the door (adults-$14.00 per session and students-$8.00 per session).
STUDENTS: Girls State will be held May 30 – June 4 on the USD Campus (Vermillion). Boys State will be held on the NSU Campus (Aberdeen) May 30 – June 3. GBBALL Players: Girls bball practice right after school today with MS bball practice to follow at around 5pm
The Student Council is holding a food drive for the Finnell Family. Please bring nonperishable food items to school during the week of January 10-14. Donations can be brought to Mrs. Fryda’s room or to the entryway by Sandy’s office. The Student Council is also holding a Hat Day fundraiser on Friday, January 14. To wear a hat for the day, please pay $2 to Mrs. Fryda before school or during first period on the 14th. All proceeds will be donated to the Finnell Family. Both of these projects are for PreK-12 students and staff. Please show your Highlander Spirit by helping to support the Finnell Family.
The Library is asking anyone who had books checked out before Christmas break to be sure to return them or stop by to renew. Thank you.
